Men, God has burdened me heavily by our need for prayer. It is amazing that prayer is probably the easiest thing to do…yet the last thing that we do. Prayer is not just about repenting for our sins, although that is certainly a great thing to do. Prayer isn’t just about saying thanks for what I have and this is what I need today…although that is not inappropriate. Prayer helps fulfill God’s desire to want us to know Him better! Let’s face it, if you had a friend, parent, child, family member, etc….you wouldn’t know them very well if you only spoke to them twice a year. Think about that….and start praying. Prayer is the most powerful force in the Universe…and has eternal ramifications.
Read these two articles about prayer and revival. Specifically the 1858 revival fueled by Jeremiah Lanphier. Unbelievable…

This one is much longer, but read sections 4-9. You will be floored.
It is time that we rise up. Consider Ezekiel 22:30 - I searched for a man among them who would build up the wall and stand in the gap before Me for the land, so that I would not destroy it; but I found no one.
Lets be those men right now! At Burke Community Church in Burke, VA, we meet at 6:00 a.m. (EST) every Friday to pray for God to change our Nation, and change us. We often hear the line, God Bless America….well that will only happen if America Blesses God. When come before the Lord with prayer, supplication, and thanksgiving (Philippians 4:6-7)…we do bless the Lord, and He is happy when we do that. Now let’s get at it.
Grace and Peace, Dan
