Day 78 What is it about fear that has the ability to paralyze? Fear is an emotion based on speculation about what can happen during a period uncertainty. But it is real…and really can just stop you from doing anything. At that time, it is very lonely…and almost anything can send you into disappointment and [...] Day 77 Finally the last day in Ezekiel 37. But this is one powerful story…and is real to me. Because I am looking at the hopelessness of a project that I can’t do on my own. Ezekiel is looking at a bunch of dead bones…God tells him to prophesy over the bones…God starts knitting them [...] Day 76 Okay…we are still with Ezekiel Chapter 37. He is watching God take a hopeless situation, and knit the answer together piece by piece until He has taken a pile of dry bones and knit them together to make them bodies. Sinew…flesh…and everything…except. Who needs a bunch of dead bodies? Who needs a bunch [...]
Day 75 My mom used to knit all of the time…and I was always intrigued by how she could take yarn and make something out of it. She was so good at it, that most of the time she didn’t even look… So let’s talk about the way that God knits things together. Ezekiel [...] Day 74 We are still in Ezekiel for inspiration today. Yesterday, God let Ezekiel look at the hopelessness of the situation…the dry bones. And then Ezekiel told God that the answer to whether these bones can rise up is completely up to Him. The more I realize how unable I am to restore Emmaus, and how impossible the task is….God takes me to Ezekiel 37. I am sure that you all have heard the story, or at least the expression….but it [...] Day 72 Wow…I have just jumped head first into an impossible project…and I am loving it! Of course, I am scared to death. Because in and of myself…there is NO WAY that this will ever happen. The project is the Village of Emmaus. I wrote about one of the most amazing people that I have [...] During my morning drive into work I am fortunate to be able to prepare for the day by listening to the teaching of learned brothers in Christ.
