Day 145
Before you think that this is going to be a “downer” blog, you should be encouraged that Jesus walked into leper colonies. Jesus reached out to lepers. When other people will shun you….Jesus will heal you.
This is good news my friend….because the leper colony can be a scary place…if you are alone. The dark is a scary place if you are alone. Living in the consequences of your past sins is a scary place….”if” you are alone. But praise God that we aren’t alone.
Matthew 8:1-3 – And when He had come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed Him. And behold, a leper came to Him, and bowed down to Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.” And He stretched out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.
Can you imagine how sweet those words sounded? ”I am willing.” When many others desert you, and shun you…..Jesus says, “I am willing.” By the way…in doing that, Jesus broke a zillion rules, and a zillion paradigms to heal that man. And He will do the same for you….because He is willing.
So if you know somebody in the leper colony….tell them that you are willing. They might be resistant….they may be afraid….but they want somebody to be willing.
So be encouraged….you can heal a leper today….just by being willing.
