We need a nation of repenters…

Day 346

I will get off of my soapbox after today…maybe, but I am just so incensed with the fact that churches across the nation think that God wants us to keep our “religion” to ourselves, and be inclusive of everyone regardless of what they do.  It is not a question of religion…it is a question of TRUTH!!  Two Points…

1.  This week commemorates the 40th anniversary of Roe V. Wade.  Probably 99% of the people on both sides of this issues that has allowed for the murder of over 40 MILLION unborn babies…40 MILLION….that is about 13% of our current US Population.  But anyway…the woman behind the famous case is Norma McCorvey…listen to her own words…

AND….watch this movie done by Ray Comfort, called “The 180 Movie”, it will open your eyes to the horrors of Abortion, not in a gory way, but in a way of analyzing what is really happening.  And in 33 minutes, it will rock your world.  It will speak for itself…and your life will be changed.

The other day, I “pro-choice” protesters carrying signs that said, “Abortion on Demand without Apology.”  And that is what  a large segment of our population wants…because they have been lied to as well…because Christians are afraid to tell the truth, because we don’t want anybody to be upset with us….

2. Louie Giglio, the Pastor who was going to give the Benediction at President Obama’s Inaugural was uninvited because reports were released about him speaking out in the 1990’s against the “aggressive agenda” of the gay community and he was so cruel as to say that gay people could change their sexual orientation “through the healing power of Jesus.”

How horrible for someone to say that you don’t have to be trapped in  a homosexual lifestyle that you don’t want to be in….and God has a better way.  And what community do you think pushed this decision….well I doubt it was the aggressive agenda of the Girl Scouts!

And here is a description of the church of the replacement pastor….

“Luis Leon’s own parish is known for welcoming openly gay members. The church, which has openly gay, non-celibate priests and has had a gay bishop, announced this summer that it would bless same-sex partnerships and ordain transgender priests. This month, the Washington National Cathedral, an Episcopal church, announced that it would also begin same-sex marriage ceremonies.” (Huffington Post)

Are there any restrictions in that church?  Is there any at all?  And by the way…if you really want to read some ridiculous prayers…go to the Huffington Post Link and scroll down to see some of the submissions.

One thing is missing in all 25 prayers…. REPENTANCE, or even a hint that we need to cry out for God’s mercy, and to wash us clean of the sins that we have allowed to flourish in our Nation where we sing God Bless America…well let’s see what God says…

Ezekiel 7:1-4 – Moreover, the word of the Lord came to me saying, “And you, son of man, thus says the Lord God to the land of Israel, ‘An end! The end is coming on the four corners of the land. Now the end is upon you, and I will send My anger against you; I will judge you according to your ways and bring all your abominations upon you.For My eye will have no pity on you, nor will I spare you, but I will bring your ways upon you, and your abominations will be among you; then you will know that I am the Lord!’ (NASB)

So be encouraged if you are crying out to God for mercy, and you are desiring to be men and women of repentance.  That is the ONLY thing that God will listen to…cries for mercy, because we certainly DESERVE His judgment.  AND…He is waiting to restore us…because here is His promise to us…

2 Chronicles 7:14 – if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. (NKJV)

And it starts with repentance….please pray, and seek His face.

Grace and Peace, Dan

About Dan

My name is Dan. I grew up on the lovely Eastern Shore of Maryland...go Colonels! God really got a hold of me a few years back and asked me when I was going to "get in the game" and start living my life for Him. I have been burdened with the fact that many...many men in our world are wasting their lives while God wants them in the game. This is one of the ways that I am giving them that challenge...our nation, and our world depends on it. So thanks for your support...and your prayers. Dan
