Be prepared for the real game…

Day 357

It is Superbowl Sunday….and I really do enjoy watching the game of football.  But it certainly does tell us where our priorities as a nation lie.  I am willing to bet that 95% of our nation knows this is Superbowl Sunday.  And, I am willing to bet that quite a few folks will change their way of doing things for the day to make sure that they don’t miss it.

How many of those same people care about missing Heaven?

I can guarantee you that Jesus will NOT ask about the score of the game, or if you saw it or didn’t.  But Paul tells us that this is what will happen when we meet Jesus…

1 Corinthians 3: 11-15-11For no man can lay a foundation other than the one which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12Now if any man builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, 13each man’s work will become evident; for the day will show it because it is to be revealed with fire, and the fire itself will test the quality of each man’s work. 14If any man’s work which he has built on it remains, he will receive a reward. 15If any man’s work is burned up, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.

So while you enjoy the game…remember that Jesus will examine your life in that way….

So be encouraged if Jesus is first in your life.  You have a lot to look forward to for eternity.  If Jesus ISN’T first in your life…there is still time if you start today.

Grace and Peace, Dan

About Dan

My name is Dan. I grew up on the lovely Eastern Shore of Maryland...go Colonels! God really got a hold of me a few years back and asked me when I was going to "get in the game" and start living my life for Him. I have been burdened with the fact that many...many men in our world are wasting their lives while God wants them in the game. This is one of the ways that I am giving them that challenge...our nation, and our world depends on it. So thanks for your support...and your prayers. Dan
